In 1905, there were 17 Japanese "Sake" breweries on "Iki" Island, but many breweries had gone out of business. "Omoya Sake" Brewing has persisted, however. "Taizo Yokoyama"'s speaks of the strong motivation to revive the "Sake" brewing of his father. "Omoya Sake" Brewing began again in 2013, after a pause of about 23 years. With the cooperation of a fellow brewer in "Yamaguchi", "Taizo" learned the skills required of a master brewer. The end result is the "Junmai Daiginjo Yokoyama Goju", released in 2014
